SAFARI QUEST

leaderboard

This is a treasure hunt I produced recently for www.drclue.com, which is the world's largest team building company specializing in clue-based, business-focused scavenger hunts and treasure hunts.

The game was designed as a fun activity for people attending a trade show for electrical contractors. The game was meant to be at a beginner level for people who had never really solved puzzles or participated in a treasure hunt before.

At the start, the attendees received instructions, a game board with three puzzle pieces on it, and six clues, all on paper.

Each clue yielded the name of a vendor, and a password.   If they went to that vendor and told him the password, he would give them another piece of the puzzle.

Since you are playing virtually, when you have solved each puzzle, concatenate the vendor name and password into one long string, add ".pdf" at the end, and go to that url.    For example:

http://www.t-hunts.com/safari/vendorpassword.pdf

This will get you another puzzle piece.  When you have all 9 puzzle pieces (the 3 you started with, plus the 6 puzzle solutions), solve the final puzzle and email the final password to *a*l*e*x*a*n*d*r*a* (at) *t*-*h*u*n*t*s*.*c*o*m* (without the asterisks). Put the password in the subject header, and in the body of the message, say what name you want posted on the leaderboard here.

I'm sorry that the files are huge so it might not be too much fun for people with dial-up connections. I never intended for these to be web files (I printed them out onto paper) so I didn't worry about file size (and don't have time to shrink them now!)
