Beginner/Regular/Masters

Where George's Colin goes nutty, find the old musical trio that's missing a Mary. With your back to them, cross the street, turn left and seek a seat; you'll soon be swept away by this hardworking Richard.

What's his last name?

This clue provided courtesy of guest cluewriter Dave Blum of drclue.com, who produces team-building treasure hunts for corporate groups.

Answer: George Bush's Secretary of State was Colin Powell. And Filbert is a "nutty" street. But so is Chestnut, a few blocks away, so teams had a choice to make. The next sentence would help them. A classic folk trio from the 50's and 60's was Peter, Paul & Mary. So, find Peter & Paul - oh wait, there's a church by that name at Filbert & Powell!

Unfortunately we don't have a photo of the plaque on the bench in Washington Square Park across the street from Sts. Peter & Paul Church - but it's dedicated to Richard (a streetsweeper?)...we'll try to get a photo and post it some time.
