Walk down a pier at Fisherman's Wharf,
toward the last of a fleet that had the same name as
Alexandra's dog {hint 3} The
Liberty fleet, of course! This
ship participated in an historic invasion one dday that
helped turn the tide of a war which ended the following
year. If you know the year, you know the pier.
Did you notice
the typo - "dday" instead of "day?"
That was intentional. D Day - the invasion of Normandy
- June 6, 1944. So the year in question is 1945,
leading you to Pier 45.
Find a unifying sign at latitude 37º 49'
N, longitude 122º 25' W, then eliminate paradise , Oswald's
killer, a Spanish soul, a Cukor film, an unlucky Hawaiian
princess, a Jewish leader, Odin's maidens, a Jack London
novel, a shore bird, and a river.

Even if teams didn't recognize
all the terms, they were listed in the same order as
they appeared on the sign, and it was very easy to match
them up.
What's left? Jeremiah
O'Brien - an Irish bullfrog!
